Vivienne Westwood started designing in 1971. For over a decade Westwood and McLaren ran a shop called 'Let It Rock' on the King's road which showcased their radical designs. Westwood became one of the leading inspirations of punk rock.
The shop has been rebranded a number of times to; Too Fast To Live, Too Young To Die, Sex, Seditionaries' and then to 'The World's End' in the 80s which is what its called to this day.
Traditional British fabrics are still used in Westwood's clothing: Harris Tweed, Scottish Tartans, Irish Linens and wools. This shows how important heritage is for Westwood's brand, hence the traditional yet quirky font used in her logo. Also the orb reflects the orb of the British Crown Jewels.
