Photoshoot: Gender Swap

For my Fashion Communication and promotion course at University I had to do a group project with the final outcome being a photoshoot. We were given editorials from Vogue as inspiration., the one we were given was "Beautiful Stranger" by Mario Sorrent.

The idea we got from this was 1950's housewife with a disturbing look to her however we when we presented this idea in our seminar our feedback was to try and give more of an original twist to the idea, as 1950 housewife has been done over and over in editorials. So we decided to give it a twist and swap the stereotype over so that the man is the "housewife".

We did our photoshoot in an old fashioned pub in Nottingham city centre. Our female model wore shirt and blazer and the male model wore a long kimono with a fur scarf and lots of big chunky rings.
